Alex Honnold has become a father

For once, Alex Honnold, probably the best-known free solo climber of the time, is not making a name for himself with a top athletic performance on the rock, but with a very personal message: On February 17th at 22.30:XNUMX p.m. his daughter June saw the light of day.

Alex Honnold and his wife Sanni McCandless Honnold speak quite openly about the fact that it was not an easy birth. After an unplanned cesarean, little June wasn't breathing and her heart was barely beating. "She went straight to the ICU before we could see her or hold her and we weren't sure she would make it," the couple wrote. Luckily, the doctors were able to stabilize the newborn quickly. Since then she has recovered splendidly.

On Monday, the American professional climber and his wife were able to hug their newborn for the first time. "It's been a busy week but we are incredibly grateful for every moment with her and for all the amazing staff who took care of her." Alex and Sanni McCandless Honnold were showered with congratulations on social media. We can only agree: Congratulations, have a good rest and lots of strength for little June!
