Schubert vs Flohé: Who is the stronger?

Yannick Flohé and Jakob Schubert are both among the world's best climbers. To find out which of them has more taste, they met in northern Germany for a boulder block battle.

The goal of block battle was clearly defined. Finding out who is the stronger, who creates more boulders and who solves the trickier problems for his opponent. In short: a battle for fame and glory. The result is a worth seeing showdown between Jakob Schubert and Yannick Flohe, where the core of bouldering was celebrated to the fullest. “In bouldering, you usually try to solve a problem together and everyone contributes. Everyone climbs against the route and not against the other,” explains Schubert.

«One simply climbs the boulder better than the others and the others respect that. That's why this person deserves the win. That's what makes climbing so great – you do it together.”
