The big touring ski test in Les Diablerets by Bächli Bergsport

With the imposing suspension bridge on the Scex Rouge - the only one in the world that connects two mountain peaks - Les Diablerets in the canton of Vaud has blossomed into a tourism highlight. However, not only artificial structures, but also mighty glacier ice and inviting powder slopes attract ski tour and freeride enthusiasts to the area. The perfect location to put the latest ski models through their paces with Bächli Bergsport.

Directly at the mountain station of the Glacier3000 cable car, the largest mountain sports specialist in Switzerland invites you to try it out in the pretty summit village. The newest touring-Models from Scott, Völkl, Stöckli, Salomon, Dynastar, Blizzard, K2, Ogso, Dynafit, Black Diamond, Movement and Faction are available for three days for ascents and descents.

From well-balanced all-rounders to performance-oriented lightweights to deep snow-hungry powder skis, the test range offers everything a winter heart desires.

In professional hands

Professionals are available for detailed advice, presenting the latest avalanche equipment, providing information on skins and making general adjustments to bindings and skis. To ensure that the test excursion doesn't end in no man's land, mountain guides from Mammut, Black Diamond and Colltex will also invite you to take part in free tours.

Participants only need to bring their touring shoes and poles, the rest is taken care of. Important additional equipment such as avalanche transceivers and the like can be rented at any Bächli Bergsport branch.

84 slopes

One might think that the pulse of the region beats in Gstaad, which has always held a magical attraction for well-heeled guests. Although the epicenter is in Bern's flagship town, neighboring Les Diablerets doesn't need to hide.

Eighty-four: That's how many kilometers of pistes there are in Les Diablerets for all those who want to test their touring skis on this terrain.

If only because the mountain group of the same name cracks the magical 3000m mark and because since 1964, with the construction of the cable car to the Scex Rouge, skiing has become accessible and has been lived.

The area has around 84 kilometers of pistes, including the spectacular Olden piste with a wonderful view of the Sanetsch Pass, which opens up on the descent. However, if you don't feel like hard carving in the prepared area, you won't miss out either.

With the touring ski test, you can also have your avalanche protection equipment updated.

Ski touring options from easy to difficult

Arpelistock, Sommet des Diablerets or Croix des Chaux are just a few peaks that offer everything from easy, leisurely tours to demanding challenges. With the Cabane des Diablerets, there is also an SAC hut in the middle of the mountain area.

So time to wax the touring skis, check the avalanche transceiver and put on the skins. And if you want to test the very latest equipment on site, you can do so from Friday, January 13th to Sunday, January 15th at the Bächli Bergsport ski test.
