Charles Albert aka Mowgli climbs La Révolutionnaire (8c +) barefoot

Charles Albert, known for his barefoot bouldering skills, climbs "La Révolutionnaire" (8c +) in Gros Sablons, Fontainebleau.

I'm sorry, what? Exactly, you read that right, barefoot. The French boulderer, often also called Barefoot Charles or Mowgli, reports on Facebook that he has climbed an 8c + boulder without climbing shoes.

Since Charles Albert, the excuse with the shoes is no longer valid

We say Chapeau and congratulate. Kind of bad, if one thinks of all the excuses that we find when the passage did not work out again. At least since this message, you can no longer argue with the missing rubber on the sole.

The following video shows Charles in the Route Gecko (8b +) about two months ago.

Already several heavy boulder barefoot climbed

The ascent of the boulder La Révolutionnaire is not the first difficult boulder ascent by the French climber. At the end of 2015 he already climbed an 8c boulder with La valse aux adieux prolongée. There is also a video that we don't want to withhold from you.

You can find more video footage on the "Mowgli" YouTube channel.
