Kim Marschner climbs Neverending Story as a highball | Video

With the rope-free ascent of the three parts of Neverending Story (8C), Kim Marschner fulfilled a dream last year. Elias Arriagadak captured his climb through the most famous block in Magic Wood on video and turned it into an edit that is absolutely worth seeing.

«This boulder means a lot to me. It was my first 8B+ and I always dreamed of climbing the line to the top," he said Kim Marschner. Due to the height of the block, the three parts of Never ending Story usually climbed as a route, i.e. with a harness and rope. For the first time, Peter Würth climbed the hybrid boulder and climbing route, which was rated 9a.

I wanted to climb the Neverending Story 1+2+3 as a highball.

Kim Marschner was able to put this plan into practice last year after he checked out the upper part of the rope a few times and invested two sessions in the lower section.
