Charles Albert commits the seated start version (8c +) of the Boulder Hypothèse - barefoot

The barefoot climber Charles Albert once again managed a sensation: he climbs the seat-starting version of the Fontainebleau classic Hypothèse in the sector Bas Cuvier, making 7c + an 8c +.

The Boulder Hypothesis in the Bas Cuvier sector is one of the more famous lines Fontainebleauwhich is repeated a lot accordingly. Most place their crash pads under the block and start standing. With 7c + is Hypothesis already quite exhausting. Charles Albert, famous for his barefoot ascents, has now started sitting on it. He started without a crash pad on an ultra-small handle. It is difficult to imagine how brutal the few additional moves have to be to turn a 7c + into an 8c +. In addition, Charles alias Mowgli also climbed the boulder barefoot.
