After weeks of uncertainty, it is now clear - in mid-April, Meiringen will be climbing again at the highest level. If the epidemiological situation allows, the world's best athletes will meet on April 16 and 17, 2021 for the first World Cup of the 2021 season in Haslital.
For the fifth time, Meiringen is the starting point for the climbing World Cup season - but this year under very special conditions.
The International Climbing Association IFSC also confirms the date and thus the competition. It is still unclear which athletes will actually travel to Meiringen. Registration for the competition has only been possible since February 22, 2021. But the whole thing is not yet completely set in stone. The organizers "plan with different scenarios" and have to constantly adapt to the current situation.
All competitions can be followed via livestream on www.lacrux.com.
