One week ago, we met Giuliano Cameroni and Nalle Hukkataival for an interview at a historic location: the Teufelsstein in Göschenen. What was then a highball project for the two athletes is now a new line: Deal with the devil (8b / +).
Last Sunday, the Ticino moved Giuliano Cameroni and the Finn Nalle Hukkataival with ladder, pads, harness and rope in Göschenen. Their goal: The first ascent of a new line at the historic Teufelsstein. After a few attempts, the two broke off. Nalle wanted to save his finger skin for the following days and Giuliano was recently not completely satisfied with the conditions. Temperatures were quite high in the afternoons, which is not a blessing on the small bars.
The new line is called Deal with the Devil
This morning we received the text message from Giuliano, Nalle and he could have both climbed the boulder. They give the name to the new line Deal with the Devil and rate it with 8b / +. In the following video you can see the ascent of the highball by Nalle. We just say: Scary!
