IFSC cancels competitions in Russia

After a series of consultations with various stakeholders, the International Climbing Federation IFSC has today decided to cancel the IFSC Bouldering and Speed ​​World Cup, scheduled for April 1-3, 2022 in Moscow, from the competition calendar.

The decision was made after consultation and with the approval of the IFSC Athletes' Commission.

IFSC President Marco Scolaris held several meetings today. During his conversation with the Ukrainian Mountaineering and Climbing Federation (UMF), he expressed the solidarity of the IFSC and the entire climbing community with the people of Ukraine during this unprecedented crisis. President Scolaris added that he hoped for a quick and peaceful end to the conflict in Ukraine without further violence.

The IFSC intends to move the competitions originally planned in Russia to a different location. Corresponding information will follow.
