The brothers Pascal and Ramon Trachsel and Wolfgang Antz have been running the “z'Büro” bouldering hall in Bern's Rossfeld since 2013. In February 2018, the hall will move to Zentweg 1a and will be significantly expanded. The initiators are looking for supporters for individual areas of the future offer on the wemakeit crowdfunding platform.
"Chunsch am Fürabe ou no i z'Büro?", Stadtberner asked themselves until recently. What may sound strange to outsiders, has meanwhile become a completely normal question for boulderers from the region. The “office” was the bouldering hall of the brothers Pascal and Ramon Trachsel and Wolfang Antz. And bouldering is still a thing of the past after work. From February 2018 it is no longer possible to boulder after work. At least not in the “office”, because the hall is moving to Zentweg 1a and is now called “bimano”.
Great and varied offer at the new location
The Zentweg 1a in Bern does not just open a bouldering hall. There are three different offers: a restaurant, an indoor playground and the boulder area.
The bouldering area will cover an area of around 900 square meters and is therefore around four times larger than the existing hall in Rossfeld. “We even have our own section with bouldering problems for children,” says Pascal Trachsel. For all ambitious people who don't just want to fight their way through a variety of bouldering problems, there will be an extensive training area with a campus board and everything that goes with it. “We are also considering an additional area with barbells and fitness training opportunities,” continues Pascal.
No big investors behind the project
Behind the Zentweg 1a is no big capital of banks and investors. The majority of the capital is provided by the initiators and the work is carried out in-house and with much effort from friends and acquaintances. For individual areas, the initiators are now looking for the support of the masses. They have launched a crowdfunding campaign that runs until 3. November 2017 is running. So, nothing like that on the Website, Help the boys, it's going to be a really cool thing. At least the pictures of the building promise that.

- Good news for all parents who would like to boulder again undisturbed: It is planned to offer a childcare service in the indoor playground in the future.
- The bimano is not just a bouldering hall. The offer is aimed at a diverse target group of sports and culture enthusiasts.
- The restaurant operation as well as the indoor playground will be on the 4. November 2017 opened.
- You can boulder from February 2018 on Zentweg 1a. Until then, the operation is secured in the Rossfeld.
- Anyone who has not used up their 11 subscription from the “office” by February 2018 can also use the entrance fees to the bimano.
