For the fourth time in a row, the championship title in bouldering was awarded today in Pratteln. Petra Klingler and Sascha Lehmann lived up to their role as favorites and prevailed in the elite. In the category U18 Malin Locher and Marius Audenis won.
63 athletes started today in the second competition of the Bächli Swiss Climbing Cup 2019 and tried to solve as many problems as possible in the bouldering hall "B2 Boulders and Bar" in Pratteln. Five boulders were waiting in the qualification, for the best six athletes there were four problems to overcome in the final.
Favorites prevail
Thanks to an impeccable qualification with 5 Tops in 5 trials, Petra Klingler (Bonstetten ZH) already led the intermediate ranking after the first round. In the final, in which there were only six for the numerous spectators of 24 possible tops, the Zurich woman was the only one to break three boulders. With 3 tops and 4 zones, Petra Klingler successfully defended her victory of the previous year. Vice-Swiss champion was Andrea Kümin (Winkel ZH). On square 3 bouldered Rebekka Stotz (Bülach ZH).
The men also had the final round, only four boulder problems were solved in total. Sascha Lehmann (Burgdorf BE), who after qualifying still the 4. Ranked second, prevailed over the other five finalists with 2 tops and 3 zones. Dylan Chuat (Vessy GE) climbed to place 2. Third was Dimitri Vogt (Worben BE).
In the U18 category, the newly minted Boulder Swiss champions Malin Locher (Riggisberg BE) and Marius Audenis (Fiez VD).
