Numerous strong climbers rebuffed
Burden of Dreams was the world's first 9A boulder and has since been attempted by numerous strong climbers. But they all went home without having achieved anything. Now a new contestant emerges who is determined to start the first iteration of Burden of Dreams to return: Vadim Timonov.
«I don't think anyone has ever tried this boulder in the summer. The boulder feels impossible. The grips aren't bad, but I can't do anything. I can go into a position but then not make a single move."

He takes the preparations very seriously. In the summer he went with me Sergei Skorodumov to Finland to build a replica of the boulder. But then he didn't take it that seriously and joked that he had already used up his 5-euro budget for the replica when buying the measuring tape and noted the distances of the handles and steps on a piece of paper with a pencil.
