Jakob Schubert and Janja Garnbret win the World Cup overall victory in Wujiang

Last weekend, the penultimate IFSC World Cup in lead climbing took place. The Austrian Jakob Schubert and the Slovenian Janja Garnbret secured themselves in Wujiang already the overall World Cup victory.

On the sixth and penultimate lead competition of the season in Wujiang the Frenchman won Romain Desgranges Gold. Actually interesting is the fact that Jakob Schubert secured the season title early with his second place in Wujiang. The same applies to the women for Janja Garnbret from Slovenia. The high-flyer of the season not only won gold in Wujiang, but also the overall victory in 2018. Switzerland was replaced by the Bernese Sascha Lehmann representing the 17. Final Rank reached.

Final canceled due to heavy rains

The decision in Wujiang, China did not fall as usual in the final. This literally fell into the water. Heavy rains made it impossible to hold the finals, so the results of the semi-finals had to be taken.
