After the World Cup in Meiringen last weekend, this weekend in Moscow continued. Jernej Kruder won with the men and Janja Garnbret with the ladies. Petra Klingler took the best Swiss placing in bouldering with 8. The best placement for Germany was won by Jan Hojer with the 12. Rank. For the Austrians, Jessica Pilz secured the 5. Rank.

Once again the Slovene was brilliant Janja Garnbret at a World Cup. In the final of the ladies she topped all Boulder in the first attempt. While the competition boulders of the semi-finals were rather difficult to screw and were rarely committed, the final boulders made the finalists less difficult. Four tops managed but still only two other athletes (Fanny Gibert and Shauna Coxsey).

Petra Klingler moved to the Boulder World Cup in Moscow as the fifth of their group sovereign in the semifinals. At the fourth and last Boulder Petra Klingler had one hand on the top handle, but for the second it was not enough. She finished in the end ranked 8. Jessica mushroom left the mixed boulder season opener (place 21) of last week in Meiringen forgotten and took in Moscow square 5.

Double victory for Slovenia

Janja Garnbrets compatriot Jernej Kruder won the gold medal with four tops in the final, so no other finalist succeeded. He climbed very precisely and needed only eight attempts for the four final boulders.
