As part of its ongoing quality assurance processes, Mammut has identified a potential issue with the locking mechanism of the carabiners used in the Skywalker Pro Via Ferrata via ferrata sets and the Skywalker Pro Turn Via Ferrata via ferrata sets sold since 2023. Therefore, Mammut has decided to recall all potentially affected products and offer a refund to all affected customers. The national market surveillance authorities have been informed.
The possible malfunction is due to an assembly error. As a result, in some cases, the carabiners on the Mammut Skywalker Pro Via Ferrata via ferrata set and Skywalker Pro Turn Via Ferrata via ferrata set may open without engaging the plastic locking mechanism, meaning they do not comply with the EN standard. Mammut requests all customers to discontinue use of the affected products and to follow the recall process. Mammut is committed to resolving this matter quickly and proactively.

If you own one of the affected products, we ask you to stop using the via ferrata sets and return them according to the recall process (shipping is free).
- Check if you own a Mammut Skywalker Pro Via Ferrata via ferrata set or a Skywalker Pro Turn Via Ferrata via ferrata set. Please refer to the provided product photos and model numbers to identify the corresponding models.
