Recall: Perfect Descent Recalls Autobelay System

The company Perfect Descent recalls products from their Autobelay series, automatic securing for rope climbing in climbing gyms.

The American manufacturer C3 Manufacturing recalls the following Autobelay systems: Perfect Descent ™ Auto Belay Model 220 Indoor, Outdoor, Speed ​​Drive and Direct Drive. Affected by this recall are all of the mentioned products that were produced between February 2017 and April 2019.

Due to a material defect, there is a risk that the retraction spring breaks and then the safety line is no longer retracted or even released during climbing down.

Affected devices must be immediately sent to the nearest service point so that the springs in question can be replaced free of charge. Continued use of a device with a broken spring can cause serious injury or even death.

Affected Products: Perfect DescentTM Auto Belay Model 220 Indoor, Outdoor, Speed ​​Drive and Direct Drive.
