The British Pete Whittaker manages the third ascent of one of the world's toughest crack routes: Recovery Drink (8c +) in Jossingford, Norway.
The route Recovery Drink has the British Pete Whittaker demanded a lot. He traveled to Norway four times before he got through it. On one of his trips last year, he not only struggled with the route itself, but also with poor conditions on site. But he was also not satisfied with his physical fitness and vowed to return stronger. He did - and scored the route.
Pete says about the difficulty: "The route has been rated 8c + so far and I think it fits and is within the scope of the routes that I climbed to this degree before."
Recovery was made in the year 2013 by the Belgian Nico Favresse first arrived and last year by Daniel Jung (LACRUX reported) repeated for the first time.
