Perfect conditions for exceeding

“The conditions at the three peaks were great, except on the slabs at the inner Rottal ridge. The plates were still wet, but luckily they weren't frozen, ”explains Mario in an interview. “The wind on the peaks was also quite ok, even if, contrary to the forecast, it blew stronger from the east,” he continues.

Start in 40 degree edge

As Mario further explains, the biggest challenge at the start was on the Eiger-West flank. “It has a lot of loose stones and the terrain is very steep at around 40 degrees. I was only able to start thanks to the good updraft, ”said Mario. "There wasn't a really tricky situation when it was exceeded."
