Recall: Via Ferrata Dynamax by Rock Empire

As part of a sample survey by the Croatian market surveillance authority, the via ferrata set Dynamax of the manufacturer Rock Empire was investigated. Deviations outside the standard were found in two test scenarios. According to the manufacturer, this is not a life-threatening reduction in the strength of the product. Nevertheless, the manufacturer recalls the affected production batch.

Is my via ferrata set affected by the recall?

Only via ferrata sets whose batch number begins with the numbers 170292 are affected by the recall. Via ferrata sets of this production batch were sold individually as well as in combination with two different belts: In the complete set "Dnamax Streak" in combination with the hip belt "Streak" and in the complete set "Ferrata Max" together with the hip belt "Speedy", a chest belt and a 150cm -Binding piece (see photos).

The lot number is located on the white label sewn in the black stretch pocket where the shock absorber is located. To read the batch number, open the zipper of this bag. The batch number of the product can be found at the bottom left of the label.

What do I do if my set is affected?

If your set is affected by this recall, please contact the dealer from whom you purchased it. The dealer will handle the replacement of the product with the manufacturer.
