Seb Bouin: «This roof is massive!» | Narcissus (9a/+)

Sébastien Bouin has released a new video showing his ascent of the route Narcissus (9a/+) in the Albenga climbing area.

The Narcissus Route is a route like the one Seb Bouin It begins with a relatively easy slab passage and then continues into the heavily overhanging roof, where there is the first crux. At the edge of the roof, the route then runs to the left and is very endurance-intensive.

A really cool line over a solid roof. It's a really modern test piece.

Bouin invested four attempts in the route before he managed to climb it, his second time ever. The first climber suggested a difficulty level of Matteo Gambaro 9a/+.

Matteo Gambaro's suggestion makes sense if you climb the route without a kneepad. With a kneepad, as I climbed it, 9a is a better fit.

A few months later after Bouin The Czech managed Adam Ondra the third ascent and he confirmed Bouin's assessment.
