In the summer 2016, the American Heather Weidner climbed as the fourth woman a 8b + in the Trad style: She managed to commit to the multi-pitched trip China Doll in Dream Canyon, Colorado. Now, Jon Glassberg of Louder Than 11 is releasing a documentary about the strong athlete and her hard-won success in China Doll.
"Excited beyond belief to have sent China Doll (8b +) trad. Thanks to Molly Mitchell, Chris Weidner and everyone else that believed in me more than I believed in myself. It feels like a dream, ”announced Heather a little over a year ago. She was rightly happy about the success, because she worked hard for the ascent and earned her several “titles”: First female ascent of China Doll, fourth female ascent of an 8b + in Trad style ever. In front of her are Lynn Hill, Beth Rodden and Barbara Zangerl a Trad route climbed to this degree redpoint.
