David Lama manages the solo tour of Lunag Ri in the Himalayas

After attempts in the years 2015 and 2016, the Austrian David Lama once again tackled the Lunag Ri in the Himalayan Mountains this year. With success. He was able to walk the 6907 meter high summit single-handedly.

At the first attempt in 2015 to commit Lunag Ri in the Himalayas, David Lama and American mountaineer Conrad Anker failed 300 meters below the summit. Even in the following year, the two were denied the summit, as the 54-year-old Conrad anchor suffered a heart attack and had to be flown out immediately. Three days after the incident with Conrad Anker David tried to reach the summit single-handedly, but had to return 250 meters below the summit.

All good things come in threes

During his third trip to the region, it now worked on the onslaught of Lunag Ri from the Nepalese side single-handedly. David Lama once again proves what a world-class alpinist he is.
