Edelrid calls on the owners of crampons with auto bindings to check the compression of the wire end on the heel lever.
It became one crampon found where the wire end of the bracket did not have a flat crimp. If a crampon is used with such a faulty wire bracket, lateral loading can result in the bracket slipping out and the crampon being lost.
Possible crampon models affected
No other faulty wire hanger was found when checking the inventory. However, since it cannot be ruled out that the error has occurred on other crampons, please Edelrid all owners of Auto Bindings and crampons with auto bindings to check them.
Crampons with the wrong wire bracket must not be used. If crampons with the wrong wire bracket are used without additional safety ropes, a fall can occur if the crampons are lost. No accident is currently known.

Please do the following when checking:
- Check whether the wire loop of the rear part of the binding is pressed at the end.
- If the wire clip is not pressed, remove the component from your crampon and stop using it. Please report your case [email protected].
