On the 22. August 2018, a rock fall occurred at the famous Arête des Cosmiques in the Mont Blanc area. The information and rescue organization La Chamoniarde strongly advises against an inspection of the route.
The area around the Arête des Cosmiques is under observation of La Chamoniarde. The organization strongly advises against a commission. The geologist Ludovic Ravanel assumes that the route will not be accessible even in winter due to the unstable situation.
