Competition: Edelrid indoor set in the Bergfreunde edition

To celebrate their 20th anniversary, Bergfreunde has released special editions – we're giving away three indoor climbing sets: one Edelrid Twentie Exclusive (40m) and one Ohm II Exclusive. Just in time for the indoor climbing season.

What the set is intended for

This set combines two components that perfectly complement each other for indoor winter training: a single rope and a belay device. The Edelrid Twentie Exclusive measures 9,8 mm in diameter and weighs 62 g per meter. It also features Thermo Shield treatment for smooth handling and 3D lapcoiling to prevent kinking when first pulled out.

The Ohm II is a belay device. It is clipped into the first intermediate anchor along with the rope and increases the braking effect under load. This makes belaying easier for rope teams with a significant weight difference: the belayer is pulled upwards less forcefully and can lower more controlled. Edelrid has made two changes compared to the first Ohm. A swivel joint makes the clipping direction on the first anchor irrelevant, and the new locking system prevents accidental opening. The device weighs 405 g, is approved for single ropes from 8,9 to 11 mm, and is manufactured in Germany.

For the Mountain Friends Edition

Both parts are technically identical to the standard models. The difference lies in the color scheme: Bergfreunde commissioned these special editions to celebrate their 20th anniversary, they are limited in number, and they look really stylish!
