Crazy ski runs in Patagonia | Film tip «Painting the Mountains»

The French ski team of Aurel Lardy, Vivian Bruchez and Jules Socié has opened up new ski routes in the granite walls of Fitz Roy - an area that is otherwise reserved for climbers. The filmmaker Matthew Tufts documented their daring undertaking with impressive footage.

Skiing steeply among the granite walls that dominate El Chalten. Aurélien Lardy, Vivian Bruchez and Jules Socié have only one idea in mind: to push the boundaries of weightlessness to open new ski routes on these Patagonian giants.

The project is a mix of commitment, friendship and plenty of mate tea, for a kind of "free solo" on skis that you won't soon forget!

Why Adam Ondra downgrades “Exodia” from 9A+ to 9A

Adam Ondra has achieved the first repeat of Elias Iagnemma's "Exodia" (9A+) in Val Pellice, Italy. The exceptional Czech climber considers the grade 9A more appropriate – likely also because he only needed four days for the route, compared to 212 days for the first ascensionists.
