End of the 2026 bouldering season – who will take the overall title?

In Salt Lake City, the athletes have their last chance this season to collect crucial points for the overall ranking. Currently, the British athlete is in the lead among the women. Erin McNeice (3.740 points) in first place, closely followed by Australian Oceania Mackenzie (3.470 points) and American Annie Sanders (3.300 points).

Mackenzie and Sanders are also the only two athletes who can still catch McNeice – a victory would earn them 1.000 points. Both are competing in Salt Lake City.

The overall winner in the men's competition has already been decided. Sorato Anraku has won every Boulder World Cup so far this season. and is uncatchably ahead with 5.000 points.

It remains exciting nonetheless: If the Japanese climber wins in Salt Lake City, he would be the first male athlete to achieve a clean sweep for an entire season. Only Janja Garnbret has accomplished this feat so far – in the 2019 bouldering season.

According to Anraku, South Korean Dohyun Lee and Mejdi Schalck from France are in second and third place.

With Elias Arriagada Kruger, Thorben Perry Bloem and Lucas Trandafir Three German men, all of whom have already competed in a World Cup or World Championship final, are registered. For the young athletes Timo Ossig and Mattis Eisenkolb, the goal in Utah is to expand their experience at the senior level.
