This is how you can follow the Climbing World Cup in Bern in the live stream

From August 1st to 12th, 2023, the international climbing elite will fight for the world championship titles in the disciplines lead, bouldering, speed and paraclimbing in Bern. You shouldn't miss this spectacle - preferably live on site. If this is not possible, we will show you how and where you can follow the World Climbing Championships live stream.

The news about the 2023 World Cup will be presented by Unparallel, Petzl and Bรคchli Bergsport

Over a total of twelve days, the world's best climbers compete against the IFSC Climbing and Paraclimbing World Championships Bern 2023. Up to 10500 spectators can see the athletes up close in the PostFinance Arena. All other climbing fans have various options for following the World Climbing Championships in the live stream.

1. Live on location

The 18th edition of the IFSC Climbing and Paraclimbing World Championships can be followed live in the Swiss capital of Bern. More than 10000 spectators can attend the mega event in the PostFinance Arena. Tickets can be purchased via ticket corner to be bought.

Admission tickets are only required if a final round is on the program โ€“ i.e. on six out of twelve days. Admission is free on the other days. Prices start at CHF 43, with special discounts for children and people with disabilities.

2. Live stream on Discovery+ or Eurosport Player

On March 25, 2022, the International Sport Climbing Federation entered into a three-year collaboration with the paid streaming platform Discovery+. All IFSC World Cups and World Championships up to the 2024 Olympics will be broadcast on Discovery+ and the Eurosport app. The subscription fees for the required entertainment and sports from Discovery+ are just under $60, ad-free.

The partnership between the IFSC and Discovery+ concerns the following countries and territories: Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kosovo, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Poland, Romania, Russia, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, United Kingdom, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Vatican City.

3. Live stream on IFSC Youtube channel

The semi-finals and finals of all IFSC events are available as live streams on the IFSC YouTube channel. However, this live stream is only accessible outside of Europe, or in those countries and areas that are not covered by an existing transmission partnership (see country overview under point 2).

In addition to the countries and territories listed under point two, the following countries in Central and South America are affected by geoblocking: Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, French Guiana, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay, Venezuela.

4. Delayed broadcast on the Olympic Channel

The semi-finals and finals of all IFSC events are accessible 24 hours after the live broadcast on the Olympic Channel.

All broadcasts of IFSC events broadcast on the Olympic Channel will remain available on the platform until the end of the current year.

5. Live stream via VPN client

If you don't want to get a Discovery+ subscription and don't have the patience to watch the live broadcasts on the Olympic Channel with a day delay, you can consider using a VPN client such as NordVPN gain. This allows all live streams on the IFSC YouTube channel to be followed in real time.

In addition, a so-called virtual private network has the advantage that a secure connection is established between you and the Internet. 6. Live transmissions of the TV stations

Public broadcasters will also broadcast competitions from the Climbing World Championships in Bern. In Switzerland, SRF will broadcast a total of 4 hours of competition from the semi-finals, i.e. from August 28th.
