On February 8th, Stefano Ghisolfi made the first ascent of one of the most difficult routes in Italy: L'arenauta (9b). This video shows the ascent of the heavily overhanging and spectacular route.
Stefano Ghisolfi is one of the strongest sport climbers in the world. The Italian combines three 9b+ routes, seven 9b routes and onsight ascents up to 8c in his tick list. His latest coup is the first ascent of a 20-year-old project Sperlonga south of the capital Rome.
The long-awaited success came on February 8, 2022, on the sixteenth day of designing. The following video shows the inspection and thus impressive pictures of this spectacular route.
