That a climbing movie nominated for an Oscar, let alone win one would have thought of a few years ago, no one. On Sunday it was time. The movie Free Solo about the tour of the route Freerider am El Capitan im Yosemite Valley won the Oscar for Best Documentary. The film was directed by Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi, Jimmy ChinEvan Hayes and Shannon Dill, who also received the Oscar.
"Holy Shit," Jimmy slipped out of his mouth in front of the camera when he and Elizabeth went to the microphone. But as befits American television, the curse word is cut from the soundtrack.
