Janja Garnbret wins – Andrea Kümin comfortably third | Boulder World Cup Meiringen

At the first IFSC World Cup of the season, Janja Garnbret showed that she is not resting on her laurels from last year. She dominated the competition and won gold. The Swiss Andrea Kümin confidently climbed to third place on the podium.

Janja Garnbret is in a class of her own, there is no other way to put it. All boulders from yesterday's qualifying round, all semi-final boulders and the four final boulders were topped by the world's best competition climber in Meiringen.

Hot on her heels was Natalia Grossman of the United States, who achieved three tops and one zone in the final to secure the silver medal.

The third place on the podium went to an athlete who, in contrast to the other two, has not stood on the podium as often: the Swiss Andrea Kümin. Thanks to a sovereign performance throughout all phases of the competition, Andrea Kümin won the bronze medal in front of the home crowd.
