Mobile climbing wall for refugees in Lebanon

The Zurich non-profit organization Climbaid has been involved for two and a half years in enabling climbing sessions on a mobile boulder wall for young Syrian refugees in Lebanon under the motto "Climbing instead of war". Also in Switzerland, events were initiated with asylum seekers, which are now offered in six climbing gyms. At the Zurich Club Kaufleuten takes place at 21. March 2019 held a charity event.

At the center of the evening are the lectures by Beat Baggenstos, Simon Rosenbaum, Nasim Eshqi and Robert Bösch.

The founder of ClimbAID, Beat Baggenstos, presents the charity's projects. Simon rosenbaumSports therapist from Australia talks about the positive effects of climbing on mental health and personality development. The Iranian woman Nasim Eshqi introduces the climbing areas and the scene in their country and tells how climbing opened the door to the world. Robert Bösch allows a look behind the camera in his lecture and shows how alpine action shots are created. The evening will be moderated by the Himalayan chronicler Billi Bierling.
