Jacopo Larcher succeeds in Cadarese the first ascent of the world's heaviest Trad route: Tribe

Years of planning a Trad route in the Italian climbing area of Cadarese has paid off for the South Tyrolean Jacopo Larcher today. A few hours ago, he managed the first ascent of the world's heaviest Trad route: Tribe.

“The motivation is high! After three years I was finally able to climb the two trains that never worked before, ”Jacopo wrote on Instagram two weeks ago. Today the situation was different. He succeeded in the first red point ascent of the Route Tribe, which will most likely be in area 9a. The route would be the hardest trad route in the world.

First tried six years ago

Jacopo came into contact with the route six years ago. “I only started planning seriously three years ago,” says Jacopo. He drove countless times between other projects and his work as a route planner to Cadarese north of Domodossola. He was often alone in the area, tinkering with the features of the route by securing himself. His intensive winter training and the perseverance of working on the route over and over again have now paid off. As soon as information on the degree of difficulty and the name of the route is available, we will inform you here.
