Projecting at the limit and the possibility of failure

With Burden of Dreams (9A) and Silence (9c), Italian climbing professional Stefano Ghisolfi has sought the ultimate challenge. In his latest video, the climbing professional shows how he approaches his projects and how he deals with the possibility of failing in his noble goals.

So far, Jakob Schubert is the only climber who has managed to achieve one 9c sport climbing route and one 9A boulder to commit. Want something similar Stefano Ghisolfi create. But the Italian didn't target just any routes, but pretty much the most difficult ones, or at least that's their reputation.

Silence, the creation of over-climber Adam Ondra, has been enjoyed ever since First ascent in the year 2017 not only the label of the first 9c route in the world, but also the reputation of being the ultimate tough one.

Auch Burden of Dreams, the first boulder in grade 9A, had the reputation of being extremely difficult for a long time. After all, it took first-time climber Nalle Hukkateival several years before he could string together the few moves.

La Sportiva recently published a video that shows Stefano Ghisolfi in his two mega-projects and also provides exciting insights into project planning, his motivation and how he deals with failure.
