On July 19, 2024, Andy Steindl from Valais set a new speed record on the Spaghetti Tour. He beat the existing record of the Frenchman Benjamin Védrines by over 1,5 hours. This video shows his record ascent.
18 four-thousand-meter peaks, 30 kilometers and 4.400 meters of altitude - the legendary Spaghetti Route on the border between Switzerland and Italy is one of the most famous high-altitude mountaineering crossings in the Alps. Experienced mountaineers usually need between three and five days to complete the route with its total of 18 four-thousand-meter peaks.
Andy Steindl conquered the course solo in July 2024 in an incredible 7 hours, 45 minutes and 44 seconds.
