The Swiss boulderer Giuliano Cameroni managed to commemorate the 8b + Boulder's Memory is Parallax in the state of Colorado just a few days ago.
After his numerous hard first ascents in Ticino moved Giuliano further to the United States. His first stop is the Rocky mountain national parkwhere he is with Memory is parallax (8b +) climbed a heavy boulder. The line was from Dave Graham First arrived in the year 2011. The first female ascent was taken by the American Isabelle Faus in February of this year. A few days before the ascent of Memory is Parallax, he managed another 8b + boulder, which he classifies as "soft" and raises the question of whether it might need an intermediate level on the rating scale.
Somehow, many heavy 8b + and simple 8c are in the same league these days. A simple 8c sometimes feels easier than a tough 8b +. Maybe it's time to introduce the intermediate level 8b + / 8c?
