Janja Garnbret and Yoshiyuki Ogata win the Boulder World Cup 2019 in Vail

149 athletes participated in the sixth and last Boulder World Cup of the season in the American ski resort Vail. Once again the Slovene won Janja Garnbret the competition among women. She wrote 2019 climbing history by winning all the competitions of the season. In the men's the Japanese Yoshiyuki Ogata won the victory.

Janja Garnbret was very strong last year. In the current season, however, she was indomitable. She won all six World Cup competitions of bouldering in the year 2019. This has never been done by anyone. In the men's event, the Japanese player Yoshiyuki Ogata won in Vail, but his compatriot Tomoa Narasaki took his place in the 2019 standings, just five points ahead of Adam Ondra.

In Vail, the German delegation was extremely successful. Jan Hojer (4), Hannah Meul (9) and Afra Hönig (10) made it into the top ten. The Austrians did not make it into the semi-finals or the final. The Japanese climbed once again in a different league. You were represented in the final with a total of eight athletes. Japan is also the clear winner in the nation standings. With 1693 points in the overall standings, they are 334 points ahead of Slovenia and even 927 points ahead of France in third place.
