Will Bosi opens new 8C+ boulder at Magic Wood: Brain Rot

During a short stay at Magic Wood, Scotsman Will Bosi succeeds in making the first ascent of the 8C+ boulder Brain Rot.

Will Bosi's stay in Switzerland began with mixed weather. Ticino was plagued by regular rainfall and correspondingly poor conditions. Every weather window that presented itself was used bosi and repeatedly checked off hard lines.

Bosi spends his time in Switzerland in the company of bouldering legend Dave Graham, who helped him with numerous bouldering projects in Val Bavona Bosi was able to crack one after the other, including Ninjitsu (8B+), Axinitis (8B+) or Space Cadet (8B+).

Detour to the Averstal

The recent rains eventually became too much for the two of them and they spontaneously fled to the bouldering area Magic WoodThere, too, Will Bosi tackled an old Graham project.

The boulder is actually a three-move problem on small ledges, where you have to maintain body tension.

Bosi isn't quite sure about the difficulty level. The boulder Brain Rot is harder than all the 8B+ boulders he's done during the trip, and he likes the line. He concludes that the grade will be in the 8C or 8C+ range.

I decided on the Plus, time will tell.
