On the second day of the Sport Climbing World Championships in Bern, a total of 100 female climbers fought for the coveted places in the semi-finals. Janja Garnbret was the only one to conquer both routes and positioned herself confidently at the top. Group B was dominated by Japan's Ai Mori.

The Slovenian Janja Garnbret lives up to its role as a favorite and qualifies for the semi-finals in lead climbing at the Sport Climbing World Championships in Bern with the best rating. She was the only one among the 100 starters to manage both routes.

Next to the Japanese Ai Mori, who achieved the best result in her group, three strong climbers with a top and a 44+ qualified in third place for the semifinals: The American Brooke Raboutou, the Italian Laura Rogora and the Korean Seo Chaehyun.
Bouldering specialist exceeds her own expectations
The French beacon of hope Oriane Bertone made it into the semi-finals as one of four French women. The 18-year-old was very happy with her performance, especially since she hadn't trained enough to be up front in the lead.

The Austrian Jessica Pilz survived the qualification as 7th without any problems. The German climber also qualified in 23rd place, tied with Austrian Mattea Pötzi Martina Demmel for the semifinals in lead climbing.
The German squad athlete Hanna Meul narrowly missed the semi-finals in 33rd place. It was even tighter for the American bouldering specialist Natalia Grossman. She just barely missed the semi-finals as 27th.
Switzerland without a semi-finalist
From the Swiss squad, Anne-Sophie Koller achieved the best result in 39th place. Their teammates Zoé Egli and Noé Looser shared 53rd place. Liv Egli finished qualifying in 66th place, Michelle Hulliger in 83rd place.
