German all-round mountaineer Fabian Buhl, due to an injury, once again devoted himself to climbing. He successfully ascended the granite test piece Histoire Sans Fin.
Fabian Buhl, known for his versatility in climbing, began as a boulderer before devoting himself to alpine climbing and big walls. After a skiing accident in 2024, paragliding and skiing were out of the question for the time being. Climbing, however, soon became possible again, and so the route Never ending Story (8b +) at Petit Clocher du Portalet in the focus of the German alpinist.
Climbing was a kind of rehabilitation because I had to move my knee without putting too much strain on it.

Histoire Sans Fin is one of the best granite multi-pitch routes in Europe and has been the subject of numerous Didier berthod and François Mathey numerous climbers to Valais. The first free ascent was made by the two Belgians Siebe Vanee and Seb Berthe in August 2021. The following video shows the story behind Fabian Buhl's ascent of the route.
