Will there soon be no more climbing shoes due to the Corona crisis?

Despite the first easing measures, the corona crisis still has many European countries firmly under control. This also has an impact on the production of climbing equipment. Will there soon be empty shelves (online shops) for climbing shoes? The guys from Actiontalk investigated this question.

One of the countries most affected by the Corona crisis is Italy, a country known for its shoemaking art. It is no coincidence that Italy is home to two of the largest climbing shoe manufacturers: Scarpa and La Sportiva. Italy had perhaps the strictest restrictions in Europe, and the effects on its society and economy were correspondingly great.

Actiontalk spoke to La Sportiva about possible bottlenecks in shoe production and asked whether climbers would soon have to be satisfied with old and punctured shoes.
