This film shows Sébastien Berthe sending The Nose

On September 11, 2019, Sébastien Berthe climbed the big wall tour The Nose in the Yosemite Valley as the seventh person ever. The following video tells the story of the ascent and introduces the sympathetic Belgian.

The Nose on El Capitan was first climbed in 1958 by Warren Harding, Wayne Merry and George Whitmore. The three climbers invested approximately 50 days, spread over several years, in the technical ascent of the route. The first free ascent was made by the American Lynn hill in 1993 and 1994.

The route has only been climbed by nine people worldwide. A few days after Sébastien the couple Babsi Zangerl and Jacopo Larcher made another free ascent of this historical route.
