In March 2023, climbing legend Chris Sharma was able to climb his hardest route to date for the first time in Siurana: Sleeping Lion. The Reel Rock episode of the same name provides exciting and personal insights into the 41-year-old's mega project - from planning to implementation.
With the first ascent of sleeping lion effect Chris Sharma added another highlight to his glorious climbing career last year. Even though Alex Megos, the first repeater, has since corrected the line slightly downwards, the Kingline in Siurana is still one of the 41-year-old's most difficult first ascents and one of the hardest sport climbing routes in the world.
