Robbie Phillips climbs crack route along a bridge without fuses (free solo)

Scotsman Robbie Phillips climbed a crack route on a city bridge twice in a short time. He met the criticism of the style of his first ascent with a free solo ascent of the same tour. Robbie captured the funny action in the form of a video.

“You asked for it,” jokes Robbie Phillips in recent post on his Facebook profile. After climbing a crack line on a bridge in Edinburgh, Scotland, about two weeks ago, several people from the climbing scene criticized the style of the walk.

Robbie placed the mobile belay devices in front of the ascent and not in the lead during the actual ascent.

“I placed the securing devices beforehand because some of the devices could only be placed with two hands. So much for the reasons. But to put an end to the criticism once and for all, I decided to climb the tour again. This time without any backups. "

Robbie Phillips on his motivations

Said and done. Robbie returned to the bridge, accompanied by cameras and a small rubber dinghy with crashpad, and climbed the tour he called The Troll Toll free solo. The result of the funny action can now be seen in the form of a video.
