Moritz Welt scores in the Frankenjura on the Corona route first climbed by Markus Bock in 2006. At the time of the first ascent, the finger-heavy and technically demanding 9a+ line was considered the most difficult route in the Frankenjura.
Once again the strong German walks Moritz world successful in the footsteps of Markus Bock: At the Schneiderloch in the Oberen Ailsbachtal he secures one of the rare repetitions of Corona (9a+). The 18-meter line, which Markus Bock was able to climb for the first time in 2006, is a milestone in the development history of the Frankenjura and is still considered a valid test piece today.

The first repetition of Corona was secured in 2009 by none other than Adam Ondra - and this at the tender age of 16. The strong Czech needed just eight attempts before he was able to climb the route.
Four years later, then 19-year-old climber Alex Megos managed to score Corona. He also cracked the test piece surprisingly quickly: According to Frankenjura.com, he needed ten attempts spread over three climbing days.
