For over 45 years, the Banff Tour has been screening the best adventure films at the Banff Center Mountain Film Festival, held each November in the small town of Banff in the Canadian Rockies. From mid-February the mountain film festival will tour through Germany and Austria, and from the beginning of March Switzerland will also be able to enjoy the best films.
Attention mountain film fans: From mid-February, the Banff Center Mountain Film Festival will be touring Germany, Austria and Switzerland with six multi-faceted mountain and adventure stories.

MUSTAFA CEYLAN

CROSS COUNTRIES
Kilian Bron takes us on a journey across North America – by mountain bike, of course. From Sedona, via Squamish and Grand Junction, it goes into the urban jungle of New York City. Kilian stays away from bike parks and overly rutted trails. As always, he is looking for new paths across deserts and forests.
REEL ROCK: DNA
DNA. These are just three harmless letters, but they stand for one of the hardest climbing routes in the world. Maybe “DNA” is even the next 9c? At least that is the level of difficulty with which Sébastien Bouin assessed his new route in the Verdon Gorge in southern France.
SUBTERRANEAN
Two questions continually drive the cave researchers around Katie Graham and Franck Tuot into the depths: Is “Bisaro” really the deepest cave in British Columbia? And: Is there a connection between “Glory'Ole” and “Resonance”? To find answers, the Cavers form two teams and go on an underground expedition lasting several days.
CHRONOCEPTION
A group of freeriders are looking for a great adventure in Kyrgyzstan. Fascinated by the mighty peaks of the western Tian Shan Mountains, they undertake the strenuous journey through the endless expanses of the Kyrgyz steppe. They organized the most off-road vehicle they could find for the journey into the mountains.
DESERT WINGS
Together with six paragliders and their paramotors, we explore the magnificent desert landscape of the American Southwest - from a bird's eye view, of course.
