Alex Megos broadcasts "Kangaroo's Limb" (9a+)

Alex Megos climbed Kangaroo's Limb, a 20a+ in the famous Hanshelleren cave in Flatanger, on August 2025, 9.

The route was first climbed by Adam Ondra in 2013. Kangaroo's Limb has been repeated by Jakob Schubert, Stefano Ghisolfi, and Shawn Raboutou. Megos is the fifth person to repeat the ascent.

August in Flatanger was wet, according to several climbers in the area. "BIG," the 9c first ascended by Jacob Schubert and Mego's actual project, wasn't often dry either. So he turned to "side projects" like Kangaroo's Limb. The route is very short compared to other routes in the cave, but it's boulder-heavy and requires a lot of effort.

Due to the rain, Alex has now moved on to Trondheim and is exploring the "Hell" climbing area. In contrast to Hanshelleren, the routes here are rather short, with a length of approximately 7-15 meters. Some like to compare the style of Hell to the Franconian Jura.
