Video and thoughts of David Lamas first ascent on Lunag Ri

On October 25, 2018, the Austrian David Lama managed the first ascent of the 6907 high summit Lunag Ri in the Himalaya Mountains single-handedly (to the original message). David's thoughts on the visit, the first images and a video are in this post.

“I can still remember how Conrad and I sat in front of our tent in the Advanced Basecamp in 2015. With the binoculars at the stop, we asked ourselves whether this granite point, which could hardly be seen from below, would actually be the summit, ”writes David Lama in his report on the first ascent. The question he answered with the first ascent of October 2018.

When he reached the summit, David Lama slumped tired and happy on his knees. His thoughts are with the here and now - and with Conrad Ankerwith whom he would like to share this moment.

Arrived at the very front of the summit spur I stop. It feels strange that suddenly there is no more.

The emotional wave does not last long. David knows that he has to leave soon, because his goal is only reached when he is down again.
