Jakob Schubert wins World Cup in Kranj outstanding

Last weekend, the last IFSC competition of the season took place in the Slovenian city of Kranj. Won Jakob Schubert and the women in front of their home crowd Janja Garnbret.

For Jakob Schubert, the final competition of the season was not about the overall victory, as he often did not participate in the competitions in the current season. As a result, less pressure was placed on him so that he competently led the field in Kranj. In second place followed the German Alex Megos. In the women's category, Janja Garnbret from Slovenia is ahead of Korean Kim Jain and British Molly Thompson-Smith.

Romain Desgranges and Janja Garnbret secure the overall victory

The 1. 2017 in the overall World Cup will go to Frenchman Romain Desgranges (ahead of Italian Stefano Ghisolfi) and Slovenian Janja Garnbret. Janja secured the overall victory with her outstanding performance already before the end of the season. Amongst the first 10 in the overall World Cup was a Swiss: the up-and-coming talent Anne-Sophie Koller.
