52 times on the Eiger: Roger Schäli presents his book “Passion Eiger”

On September 10, 2020, Roger Schäli will present his new book “Passion Eiger” in the Bächli Bergsport branch in Thun. We are giving away three entries.

Nobody knows the Eiger north face better: Roger Schäli climbed the “Wall of Walls” 52 times on 22 different routes. These include first ascents such as Merci La Vie as well as first free ascents or repetitions of legendary lines.

Roger Schäli: Book Passion Eiger

Together with the renowned Eiger historian Rainer Rettner and the alpine journalist Jochen Hemmleb, Roger Schäli presents “Passion Eiger”, his first book and the first complete history of the great direct and free climbing routes from the years 1966-1991. The book is a unique combination of personalities Experience, historical report and mountaineering portraits. As exciting as a thriller, as informative as a textbook.

The presentation of the book with impressive pictures and comments by and with Roger Schäli, Rainer Rettner and Jochen Hemmleb will take place on Thursday, 10th September 2020 at Kino Rex, Thun.
